A HIGHLY VERSATILE SPORTS WATCH
The very first IWC pilot watch was produced in the mid-1930s for civil aviation purposes. Since then, numerous editions have been produced, earning it a reputation for being a precise timepiece with outstanding technology.
The Big Pilot’s Watch embodies the brand’s extensive expertise in engineering professional precision instruments for the cockpit, earning the status of a cultural icon whose appeal extends far beyond the watchmaking industry.
FUNCTIONAL, UTILITARIAN DESIGN
For the first time, this Big Pilot’s Watch is presented in a 43mm case, crafted from black zirconium oxide ceramic for incredible scratch-resistance and durability. The case features an oversized conical crown, reminiscent of an historic observation watch from the 1940s, and fastens securely with a black textile strap.
The black dial is equipped with black hands, white detailing, and luminescence for enhanced visibility in all conditions.
The IWC-manufactured 82100 calibre provides precision and reliability with its Pellaton winding system, which builds up a power reserve of 60-hours.
Designed to withstand the demands of a cockpit, this timepiece also features a soft-iron inner case to protect the movement from the impact of magnetic fields, while the front glass is secured against a sudden drop in pressure.
