THE DARK SIDE OF THE MOON
In 1968, the crew of Apollo 8 became the first humans to see the dark side of the moon, orbiting the moon 10 times over 20 hours. The Omega Speedmaster Dark Side Of The Moon pays tribute to the Speedmaster Professional chronographs worn by every Apollo astronaut during this mission.
Embodying the brand’s pioneering spirit, this incredible chronograph is inspired by a legacy. Crafted from ceramic the bold chronograph features a skeletonised dial, a Saturn V rocket hand, and a decorated movement depicting the surface of the moon.
BLACK SEDNA
Sitting confidently within a 44.25mm black ceramic case, this striking model fastens securely with a perforated black rubber strap with a yellow rubber interior.
The blackened OMEGA Co-Axial Master Chronometer Calibre 3869 movement has been laser-ablated on the main plate and bridges to represent the moon’s surface. The near side can be viewed through the skeletonised black anodised aluminium dial, while the far side can be observed through the case back.
The skeletonised dial is further elevated by a varnished yellow chronograph seconds hand, a small seconds sub-dial, and a grade 5 titanium hand shaped like the Saturn V rocket.
The OMEGA Co-Axial Master Chronometer Calibre 3869 movement provides incredible power and precision, and is engraved with ??Apollo 8, Dec 1968??, ??Dark Side of the Moon??, ??We’ll see you on the other side??, and ??Co-Axial Master Chronometer??.
